Big Imaginations is looking forward to summer in the North West & Yorkshire. Here are some of the scorching shows we’ve got coming up:

Handa’s Surprise

A much loved show for 2-5 year olds and their families.

Little Angel Theatre production

Based on the bestselling book by Eileen Browne .

Travel to Kenya and follow in Handa’s footsteps as she journeys to see her best friend Akeyo, in the next village. Handa is taking seven delicious fruits as a surprise – but seven different animals have seven very different ideas… could you resist the sweet-smelling guava? How about a ripe red mango or a tangy purple passion fruit?

A blend of physical performance, puppetry, live music and song combine to create an intimate, magical production with audience participation. Come and share in the magical tangerine surprise!

See what’s in store for Handa at The Boo in Rossendale on Sunday 19th June.

A new adventure story about a girl called Sabrina, who has a vivid imagination. It is a playful and adventurous show about friendship, growing up and discovering what it means to be brave.

Sabrina is growing up fast, but her parents haven’t noticed yet.

Feeling invisible and alone, Sabrina hastily forms a plan to escape with her newfound companion, Alf. Together they venture out into the world to discover what it means to be brave.

Separated from her new friend and thwarted by powerful forces, Sabrina discovers the power of her shadow and steps into the light.

Shadow Girl is a Makaton friendly show. It includes Makaton sign throughout to communicate Shadow Girl’s emotional journey and convey the message of the show.

You can catch Shadow Girl at Beswick Library on Monday 30th May and at Manchester Central Library on Wednesday 1st June.

The Stars In The Sky

A spellbinding adventure for children ages 4 and over.

Follow the magical nighttime adventures of old Stella as she sets out to reach the Stars in the Sky.

Inspired by a traditional folk tale the story takes off on an exciting romp amongst the fantastical wild beasts of the stars as they leap across the scrolling background and even fly out of the box onto a large paper screen.
