YourTrust Rochdale is an independent charity managing much of the borough’s cultural offer (as well as leisure and wellbeing activity) for Rochdale Council, primarily via its sites at Middleton Arena, Heywood Civic and Touchstones Rochdale.
Touchstones is a museum, gallery and arts centre located in a stunning Grade II building in Rochdale town centre.
Currently closed for redevelopment until late Spring 2027, the newly refurbished building will include a performance venue (126 seats), creative studios, education rooms and meeting spaces, as well as an evolving museum collections display, a new dining area and refurbished galleries on the first floor. During our closure, Touchstones is working with community groups and artists on future exhibitions and hosting regular “Touchstones Live” performance events out in community spaces, and you can find more details on these and our work with collections, schools and more here.
250 – 430 capacity flexible format. A much-loved multipurpose cultural hub at the heart of its community.
The received programme comprises midscale family friendly work, drama and theatre, music events, comedy, dance, circus & physical theatre as well as an annual pantomime / seasonal Christmas offer. It is also a place where our supported companies can showcase their work via talend development initiatives.
