Curious Investigators is back on tour!

A cracking new adventure for 3–7-year-olds and their grown-ups!
An interactive engineering adventure for young scientists

Scribble and Clipboard have a job to do: sort the recycling. But Scribble keeps finding new
things to investigate. When she discovers a mysterious egg hidden in the rubbish, the pair
need the audience’s help to rescue an unborn chick. Can we save a mysterious egg from
a smashing? And what will we discover along the way?
Curious Investigators is a cracking adventure created in collaboration with engineering
experts from Lancaster University: a delightfully surprising, highly visual show for 3–7-
year-olds and their grown-ups.
This brand-new family show has been hatched by One Tenth Human, commissioned by
Big Imaginations and supported by Arts Council England.

In their own words:

One Tenth Human is on a mission to empower children about their own potential.
Our teams of brilliant artists create intricate, intimate, and wildly entertaining live
imaginative events for children and adults to enjoy together. Our audiences are the
heroes of their adventures.
We explode myth and expectation particularly when it comes to science, technology,
engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM): because we know that these subjects come with
powerful and dangerous cultural baggage; and that many children reach adulthood
believing these subjects are not for “people like them”.
We want to change this.

One Tenth Human was created by artistic director Sarah Punshon, inspired by the year
she spent working at the Natural History Museum, collaborating with scientists and
museum professionals to create interactive events for family visitors.
Since our formation in 2016, we’ve engaged more than 22,500 people via our
performances, schools’ workshops, and online events. We’ve engaged over sixty scientists
and mathematicians as advisors and activity leads. An estimated 105,500 have heard
about our work online, via social media, at a conference or in the press. Our work has
entertained, delighted – and changed children’s understanding, confidence and ambition.
