Over at Manchester Independents HQ they’ve had an exciting few months and they are pleased to let you know that Manchester Independents 2023 is back!

2023 Commissioned Artists

This year, they’ve commissioned 12 artists/companies to make new work in Greater Manchester to be showcased from June to September 2023. From music and spoken-word, to graphic novels and theatre, with photography exhibitions and published books, it’s an incredible selection of projects from various art forms – all from independent artists from our city regions!

They will be uploading all of the projects on the events page – your go-to place to fill your Summer calendar with shows, exhibitions, sharings, and more!

New Website and Brand

You may have also noticed that they have a new website, with a fresh new visual brand to go with it (both made by local independent designers)! This is going to be the main hub for updates for artists and partners, and it’s where you can find out more about our supporting partners and Artist Advisors, who have been pivotal in making these commissions happen.
