Little Seeds Music have partnered with Z-arts and Big Imaginations, Wonder Arts and The Story Museum for a two-week Research and Development period, to adapt the much-loved children’s book by Joseph Coelho for the stage.

The week began with team, including the author, David Gibb – the wonderful composer and brilliant dramaturg, Renata Allen, visiting primary schools to show them songs and themes they’d been working on…. because, oh yes, it’s a musical!

They then spent the next couple of weeks taking the children’s notes and developing songs and story for what will no doubt be a mesmerising adventure for all the family.

Luna Loves Library Day explores themes such as divorce, heritage, and the joy of reading. Luna and her dad go to the library, and they read all sorts of books about dinosaurs and trolls and mermaids. The book interweaves fantasy and real-life problems seamlessly, to uncover answers to difficult questions.
