Theatre Porto Presents: Topsy Turvy!

An arts extravaganza at Theatre Porto, Whitby Park, Ellesmere Port – (11th – 13th August)

We are delighted to be presenting a weekend of FREE / Pay What You Like exciting performances and special events, especially for children, young people and local families from companies across the UK.

Taking place in our main theatre, the amphitheatre and our other outdoor spaces, you can expect to see acrobatics, beat-boxing, family-friendly gigs, dance, puppetry and an amazing, aerial performance on a giant swing!

We will also be exhibiting artwork ‘Chaos Wonderland’ from our local school’s project ‘If Children Ruled the World’ where artist, Jake Ryan, has been encouraging children to ‘re-write the rule book’.

The Great, Big, Little Parade will be a processional performance by children aged 7-11 and is one of Cheshire West and Chester micro commissions from the Reflections Programme, focused on pandemic recovery – celebrating our outdoor green spaces.

We are also super excited to be soft-launching the Ellesmere Port Collective new radio stream with a live DJ-set broadcast from Theatre Porto, establishing a regular space for music making for young people.

Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August in Whitby Park and at Theatre Porto from 11.30am

Join us for a weekend of exciting performances for children, young people and local families from companies all over the UK.
