Adrift is a short play for age 8+ which will be presented as part of the Big Imaginations Children’s Theatre Festival in the North West in October 2017 as a supported new commission.

The play, originally written by Beverly Hancock-Smith as part of a playwriting project for ATT Young Actors, tells the story of two children, a brother and sister, who are adrift at sea having fled conflict.

Adrift is set in the single location of a boat and lasts 10-15 minutes. The research phase will include working with groups of children, as well as some contact with refugee families. The play will be presented in October with a view to future development and touring.
